Readings: 2 Kings 20-22 Kings Hezekiah, Manasseh, and Josiah:
These readings were about lineage and the faith to and away from God. What struck me in the first reading (2 Kings 20) was, when God spoke to Isaiah and told him to tell the king Hezekiah that he needed to " get your affairs in order, you are going to die ".
It kind of brought to mind the song " Live Like You Were Dying". What would we do differently TODAY if it was our last day? Who would you call to say I love you? Who would you embrace? What would you want to " make right" before you were gone? What affairs would you make sure were in order. Funny thing is, we are all Hezekaih in one way or another aren't we? Our own kings and queens of our world. Sometimes, just going through the day's cycle, unaware that this one, this day, may be the last. I don't mean to sound morbid or too down, but these passages helped me to remember that OUR king is the one who has our days counted for us, I want to live each day not only doing His good works, but loving those around me as well.
My last reading for today was Psalm 150:1-6
This was about praising the Lord. praising him for His work and sanctuary. But wait not just praising Him but praising Him LOUD, BOLD with a " clanging cymbal"
I think that is pretty justifiable don't you? I know when I see the moon shining through the clouds and making an amazing glow affect, I am in awe of His creation. I know that just when I am LEAST expecting Him to find me a way....there is a way He makes for me. I have literally have found myself just laughing in rejoice and happiness for He NEVER fails.
I will praise, BOLDLY, PROUDLY.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the gift of another day. Help me to remember all the ways my ancestors have made a path for me to You, I praise you for your unending love. Amen

The sidenotes
I know two things for certain about myself. 1. I am a Christian 2. I am a writer.
I write to get all the spaghetti thoughts that get jumbled in my mind out. I am Christian, because I believe without a doubt Christ is my Savior, and He loves me completely.
With the past year of ups and downs and honestly for a while now, I am have discerned about going into ministry full time and making my fire for Christ my full time job. Throughout my praying and reflecting I kept hearing in my heart " read the Bible". I have been drawn to really read it and become aware of the " meat and potatoes" of my faith.
This blog is an attempt to reflect, react, and share my year long journey inside the living Word.
I hope to gain more insight to my next path of life.
I would love feed back and prayer whenever and however you would like to share.
Thanks for joining in!
